Radio Plugging Pricing Breakdown by Service Level:

  • 1. Specialist Pluggers: Independent firms focusing on BBC Radio (particularly 6 Music) and independent stations typically chargeĀ Ā£1,000ā€“Ā£4,000.Ā 
  • 2. This fee covers relationship-based pitching to playlisters and DJs.
  • 3. Budget/Global Services: Typically they charge from Ā£800. Some charge what seems to be cheaper at approx Ā£400, but only send to a couple of hundred stations for that price. DAZY RECORDS provide mass-distribution (Approx 8 000!) to station networks fromĀ  just Ā£599 (4 week Campaign) to Ā£850 (6 Week Campaign). We have an honesty bucket for bands /artists who genuinly say they cannot afford it. With the offer a lower priced, one time, introductory offer in such cases. People who are simply taking advantage of the honesty bucket offer, will go straight to hell in a hand cart. Or so some might say.
  • 4. These are best for volume and community radio rather than charting on major commercial stations. (Yet DAZY RECORDS have a direct relationship with BBC6music and send to music supervisors at KCRW, Virgin Radio, Heart and many others across the globe).
  • 5. Full-Service Agencies:Ā Boutique marketing agencies that include radio plugging alongside PR and digital marketing often chargeĀ Ā£3,000ā€“Ā£15,000Ā for a comprehensive release campaign.Ā 
  • 6. DIY/Platform Fees:Ā Artists using platforms likeĀ GrooverĀ (~ā‚¬2 per pitch) orĀ SubmitHubĀ ($0.80ā€“$4 per pitch) can target stations directly for underĀ Ā£250, though this requires significant time investment and lacks professional plugging relationships. It also is very limiting in volume with an average campaign reaching less than 30 stations, with no guarantee of airplay. For example you can pay to submit a single to 30 stations and playlisters, but only get accepted for airplay on five!Ā
